Dex-O-Tex Ammunition Magnesite conforms to MIL-PRF-18873B as a nonsparking, fire retardant, smooth surface product for use between the dunnage system of steel deck channels in cargo weapon storage spaces. It is a trowel-applied magnesium oxychloride cement composition that contains lightweight aggregates and fire resistant properties. When installed in conjunction with Dex-O-Tex Magnabond, it has excellent adhesion to steel and wood surfaces. It is normally installed in thickness ranging from 3/8" (9.5 sq. meters) to 2" (50.8 sq. meters).
Dex-O-Tex Ammunition Magnesite is typically installed in ammunition holds, cargo bay or other storage areas. It is used in munitions holding areas, such as ammo, armaments, bombs, missiles and other ordnances where surfaces are exposed to heavy duty usage and a non-sparking surface is required.
