(MIL SPEC MIL-PRF-23134A)
Decklite is a lightweight, A-60 Fire-Rated decking system that is also used as an insulating deck underlayment for use under tile, carpet, terrazzo and comparable overlays. This screed and trowel applied system is typically installed from 3/4 inch (19.05mm) to 2 inch (2.5cm) thicknesses. By containing specially developed magnesium oxychloride cements known as magnesite, Decklite is ideal for insulating decks and provides superior burn resistance in the event of fire. When properly installed in conjunction with Magnabond, Decklite develops an excellent chemical bond to steel or wood surfaces and proves itself as an excellent insulating decking solution.
Typical Uses:
-Wherever fire resistance and/or thermal insulation is important
-Over engine rooms, passenger rooms & passageways
-Over bulk fuel tanks
-In living quarters on drilling rigs
